Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro upgrades what matters

Unveiled at this years Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro isnt more powerful than your average GT R, but it upgrades the components serious track drivers worry about.

The 4.0-liter biturbo V8 found in the AMG GT R pumps out the same 577 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels and provides the kind of neck-snapping blistering performance you expect from Mercedes-AMGs flagship supercar.

Where the car has been significantly upgraded is in its suspension settings as well as its aerodynamics in order to make it even more solid at speed and even more planted on a track.

Then theres the impressive AMG Dynamics system which is an added drive mode designed to give the driver the full AMG experience by adjusting the ESP, yaw sensors and differential to their most aggressive settings. The net result is that you can get the AMG GT R Pro in any direction you want, and basically do what you want with the rear end.

What to slide through a corner with a wall of smoke behind you? This is the mode for you. Standard carbon fiber packages round out the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro. Pricing hasnt been released, but it will probably be a few tens of thousands more than the current AMG GT R.
