Mercedes-Benz teases new EQC ahead of launch
First showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz EQC is just about ready to be unveiled as a production version. That will happen on September 4th in Sweden. In the meantime, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a few teaser images including the latest showcasing the front and rear of the production vehicle.
The EQC will be the first model in Mercedes-Benz’ EQ lineup of electrified luxury vehicles. It will be powered by a fully-electric engine and thus represents Mercedes-Benz’ first foray into the 100 % electric market.
We don’t quite know the specs on the production EQC, but the concept on which it is based that was unveiled in Paris two years ago featured nearly 500 kilometers of range. We expect the production version to have a little less, but don’t be surprised if you still get nearly 300 kms of freedom once fully charged.
The EQC will have roughly the same dimensions as the GLC and should have a similar interior in terms of space. Stay tuned as we ramp up towards the official unveiling of the brand new EQC next week.
