The new features are designed to enhance connectivity and convenience while a new concept previewed what is to come in Mercedes-Benz electrification. The MBUX Virtual Assistant and MB.OS

A central feature of Mercedes-Benz’s presentation was the MBUX Virtual Assistant, powered by the newly developed Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). This AI-driven interface has been designed to offer more natural, intuitive, and personalized interactions between the vehicle and its occupants. With advanced 3D graphics and generative AI, the MBUX Virtual Assistant marks a significant leap in making the digital experience within a Mercedes-Benz as human-like as possible.

Concept CLA Class: A North American Debut

Mercedes-Benz also introduced the Concept CLA Class, a vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture (MMA) and boasting remarkable electric drive capabilities and sustainability features. The Concept CLA Class is predicted to have a range of over 466 miles on a single charge, thanks to its highly efficient electric drive unit. The vehicle’s 800-volt architecture facilitates rapid charging, offering nearly 400 kilometres of range in just 15 minutes.

In a groundbreaking move, Mercedes-Benz announced collaborations with will.i.am and Audible, along with Amazon Music, to transform in-car entertainment. Furthermore, the collaboration with Audible and Amazon Music is set to elevate the in-car audio experience by utilizing Dolby Atmos technology. This partnership aims to create a concert-hall sound experience, enhancing the enjoyment of audio books, podcasts, and music within the vehicle.

Enhancing In-Car Gaming

Mercedes-Benz is also venturing into in-car gaming. Through a collaboration with Antstream Arcade, the world’s first retro games streaming service, Mercedes-Benz integrates cloud gaming into their vehicles. Additionally, the current E-Class showcases Mercedes-Benz’s vision for immersive in-car gaming, utilizing the computing power of MBUX and interior vehicle sensors and actuators.

DRIVE PILOT and New Features in EQS Sedan and S-Class

Another significant announcement at CES 2024 was the launch of DRIVE PILOT, Mercedes-Benz’s system for conditionally automated driving, now certified for SAE Level 3 in California and Nevada. This technology, available in select 2024 EQS sedan and S-Class models, represents a major step forward in autonomous driving.
