What is Mercedes-Benz eCall?

Mercedes-Benz eCall is an advanced emergency call system launched in 2012. Since the introduction of Mercedes me in September 2014, eCall has become a standard feature in all Mercedes-Benz model series. This innovative system significantly enhances the safety features of Mercedes-Benz vehicles by providing rapid emergency response in critical situations.

eCall – Emergency SOS

While convertibles and roadsters come equipped with both meCall and eCall-SOS buttons, roadster models like the SL, SLC, and GT Roadster include Mmc services but lack remote start capability. In contrast, convertibles offer the full suite of Mmc services, including remote start.

It provides essential information like the vehicle’s exact GPS position, the number of people in the vehicle (determined by the locked seat belts), and the direction of travel.
